Missing People…
I’m a little annoyed at the fact that the “media” chooses to always focus in on good looking, “blue eyed blonde haired”, young, white people when launching an across the nation campaign to find that missing person. More recently the social media overload of that missing Indiana girl Lauren who by no surprise meets all of the qualifications I listed above. Now before you say, “Hey Kyle, your an asshole” keep reading. I’m hoping (I’d pray but I don’t believe in a religion) that they find this missing girl Lauren. I am not writing this to put her in a bad light in anyway. I have no doubt she will be found safe and again hope for nothing less than that. I just get SO annoyed that everyone hones in on one individual. What about the other thousands of missing children, teens and adults who have left behind an empty bed kept warm by touch of a loved one who sits there praying for their safe return. I get it, the media gets great rapport with the “feel good” viewers that look at their TV station and say, “Good for them trying to find that beautiful person”. There are THOUSANDS of other missing people who aren’t “good looking, blue eyed blonde haired, young, white people” in the eyes of the media but in the eyes of the ones who love them are that and much more. So how do we solve this. Well by reading this I hope you have opened that door of compassion to take a look at http://www.missingkids.com/ for example to maybe search for those missing in your area and taking a good look at that individual in the off chance you might ever come across them and help fill that empty bed.
